☆~ VETERAN, WORLD WAR II (1939-1945) ~☆

Theodore was the 6th of 7 children born to Ernest and Lena (Jordening) Schoenbeck. He was baptized at Zion Lutheran Church, south of Tobias, Nebraska.

During WWII, he served in the US Army, enlisting 28 Dec 1941 at Fort Crook, Nebraska. He served 27 months in photo reconnaissance of the 8th Air Force in the European Theater and was released around October, 1945.

On September 1, 1946 he married Mildred Sieck at her her home church, Zion Lutheran, in Garland, Nebraska. They moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma and later to Julesburg, Colorado. There, his two children, Philip and Maxine, were born.

He was killed in a crop-dusting airplane crash in eastern Colorado near Julesburg on 30 Jun, 1953.

In 1957, his widow married Roy Otto Behrens, who then adopted his children. She died 4 Mar 2020.
