Stroud resident Dortha "Dorothy" M. Massey died Sunday at the age of 83.
Mrs. Massey was born April 30, 1914, in Dover, Ark., the daughter of Frank and Alice (McGuffy) Bias. She was a cook for 25 years before retiring.
In 1935, she married Albert I. Massey in Shawnee. She was also a member of the Harvest Lighthouse Church in Stroud.
Survivors include one son, James A. Massey of Stroud; four daughters, Lillie Lucile Manning of Stroud; Wanda Martin of Stroud, Almadene Herd of Chandler, and Sharon McClendon of Stroud; two brothers, Coy Brown of Shawnee, and George Brown of Shawnee; one sister-in-law, Margaret Mann of Davenport; 10 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Parks Brothers Chapel, Stroud, with the Rev. Mike Mitchell and the Rev. Ann McElyea officiating. Burial will be in the Stroud Cemetery.
