Mrs. Belle Austin DeTemple, wife of Fred DeTemple of Darien Center, died at four o'clock Wednesday afternoon, Dec. 12th, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Leo Mingle of Buffalo, Following a three years' illness. Mrs. DeTemple was born in Cowlesville on Feb. 17, 1868, and had been a resident of Darien Center for the past 25 years. On December 22, 1885, she was united in marriage to Mr. DeTemple, who survives her. Previous to their going to Darien Center to reside, Mr. and Mrs. DeTemple lived in Washington for ten years and in Buffalo for ten years. Surviving Mrs. DeTemple, besides her husband and daughter, is another daughter, Mrs. Allen Welker of Buffalo; one brother, Frederick Austin of Waverly; two sisters, Mrs. Flora Cornell of Cowlesville, and Mrs. Ina Buffum of Marilla and several grandchildren. Funeral services for Mrs. DeTemple were held at the home her daughter in Buffalo Saturday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock, and burial took place in Darien Center.
