Message: Hello.!!

I don't know wear her birthday came from, possibly her family listed her birth date. But in 1900 Census records, Laura was listed as being born May 1859. Her sister, Lou Emma, was born Sept 1861, so they couldn't have been born four months apart. Here's some information for her parents:

Mary Jane Turner married David William Gray, 12 Apr 1858 in Owen, Indiana. David served in the 59th Indiana Infantry during the Civil War. He died in West Virginia in 1865.

Mary Jane & David had two daughters, Laura Bell Gray, b 31 May 1859 and Lou Emma Gray, b Sept, 1861.
David was the son of Nathaniel Gray and Sarah Jane Peyton
In the 1870 Census, Mary Jane was working as a dressmaker in Taylor, Owen, Indiana. Her daughters were living with her.

She married Robert Turner 12 Nov 1876 in Owen, Indiana, four months after the death of his first wife, Sarah Wood.

THANKS FOR ALL YOU DO!!
