Kathryn (Bray) Sypert was born in Newalla OK to Emma and Willie Bray on August 8, 1918. She married Harry Sypert, and before his death in 1965, they reared six children together. Kathryn Bray Sypert peacefully departed this life on August 2, 2011, six days shy of her 93rd birthday.
Kathryn was a faithful member of the Union Baptist Church. She believed that to be absent from the body was to be present with the Lord.
Kathryn was preceded in death by her husband Harry Sypert; children Joy Elaine, Jerry, and Grace Aletha; four brothers; and three sisters.
To mourn her passing and to forever cherish her loving memory, Kathryn leaves her sons Cleophus (Bonnie) and Harry; daughter Ruth; sister Elizabeth Olsen; 6 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and 8 great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends in the Shawnee and Newalla communities.
