Company C "Raiborn Company", 14th South Carolina Infantry, Gregg's Brigade, A.P. Hill's Division, 1st Corps, Army of Northern Virginia, C.S.A.

Enlisted for the duration of the war on 3/13/1862, he traveled to Tomotley Plantation, Sheldon, Prince William Parish, Beaufort County, where on 3/25/1862, he was mustered into Company C, 14th South Carolina Infantry, as a Private.
Died of disease.

The 14th Infantry Regiment, organized in July, 1861, at Lightwoodknot Springs, near Columbia, South Carolina, contained men from Edgefield, Darlington, Laurens, Greenville, Spartanburg, and Kershaw counties.
