Davison, Wilbur (Bill) Anthony, age 88, passed away on December 22, 2016 with his loving children by his side at Prairie Maison Nursing Home in Prairie du Chien, WI. Bill was born to Wilbur and Mary (nee. Heinz) Davison on December 31, 1927 in Sun Prairie, WI. After graduating high school he served his country in the Navy in both WWII and Korea. Bill married the love of his life, Patricia K. Nolan on September 12, 1953 in Prairie du Chien. He went on to college at the University of Wisconsin Madison, earning a Bachelor’s Degree in music and later a Master’s Degree in guidance counseling. Bill was the band director at Waterford Union High School for 20 years, then a guidance counselor for 10 years. He played the trombone with the Riverboat Ramblers, a Dixieland jazz band, for over 40 years. He also played taps at the Waterford 4th of July Parade for more than 50 years. Bill was a lifelong member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church and American Legion Post 20 in Waterford.

Bill is survived by four children: Steve (Kate) Davison, Tom Davison, Lori Berryman, Rick (Neelam) Davison; nine grandchildren: Liz Robinson, Becki O’Brien, Rynn Jacobson, Emily Stagg, Tommy Davison, Marie Davison, Annie Berryman, Leena Krishnaney-Davison, Rajeev Krishnaney-Davison; five great-grandchildren: Nate Robinson, Lana Robinson, Rosemary O’Brien, Oliver O’Brien, Henry O’Brien, and other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife Patricia, one brother: Malcolm (Clara) Davison; one sister: Helen (Lester) Sydow.

Visitation will be held on Friday January 6, 2017 from 4:00 PM-6:45 PM at Mealy Funeral Home, 225 W Main St., Waterford, with Mass of Christian Burial to be held on Saturday January 7, 2017 at 11:00 AM at St Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 305 S First St. Waterford, WI 53185. Burial to follow at St Thomas Cemetery with full Military Honors. In lieu of floral expressions of sympathy, Bill’s family would appreciate memorials to the Davison family to be distributed as per Bill’s wishes.
