Passed away Friday morning, May 2, 2003 at her residence. Daisy was born September 5, 1915 in Kalamazoo, the daughter of Charles and Mary (Grover) Root, and had been a lifelong resident in the Kalamazoo area.
She was employed for over 15 years as the Head Clerk with the Oakwood D&C Dime Store, and enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing, and country music.
On December 18, 1931 she was united in marriage to Theodore R. LaCoss Sr. who preceded her in death on February 16, 1980. She was also preceded in death by an infant daughter, Norma Jean; 4 brothers and 4 sisters.
Surviving are 5 children, Theodore Jr. (Olive) LaCoss of Paw Paw, Jack (Dorothy) LaCoss of Kalamazoo, Beverly (Gaylen) Stecker of Hudson, FL, Gerald (Doris) LaCoss, Connie (Harry) Loy, all of Paw Paw; 14 grandchildren; 25 great- grandchildren; 8 great-great-grand-children; a brother, Albert (Pearl) Root of Kalamazoo; and many nieces and nephews.
