YOUNG WOMAN CALLED

The friends and relatives of the family were shocked to hear of the death of Margaret Ann, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Haas, which occurred at her home Saturday April 5 at 6 o'clock.

The deceased was born in Marcus, Iowa May 21, 1900 and when six years of age moved with her parents to the present home on the farm near Inwood. She attended school at the county school near her home and also at St. Mary's school. She was a patient sufferer from childhood, but since January 1 her illness has been more severe, so that the services of a trained nurse were required. During the last several days, she seemed to be out of danger, and was suddenly stricken Friday noon.

She was a splendid young lady in the prime of her life and was highly esteemed by all who knew her. She was kind and obliging to all about her, and a comfort to her parents and friends.

She was survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Haas, two sisters, Jennie and Ada, and four brothers, John, Joseph, Jerome, and Fred of Omaha, Nebraska.

The funeral services were held at St. Mary's Church in Rock Valley, Iowa, Tuesday morning at 9:30 o'clock with Rev. Father O'Rielly officiating.

The pallbearers were Edward Heffernan, Edward Forrette, Paul Barry, Vincent Crowley, John McNamara and Martin Cullinan.

The out of town attending the funeral were: Fred Haas, Omaha, Nebraska; Mr. and Mrs. Edward Capesuis, Livermore, Iowa; Mrs. F. Capesuis, Algona, Iowa; Mr. John Capesuis, Bode, Iowa; Mr. and Mrs. C.C. Haas and daughter, Mrs. J.T. O'Kief, Sioux City, Iowa; Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Haas, Sr.; Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Haas, Canton, S.D.; Mr. Jacob Haas, Jr., Harrisburg, S.D.; Mrs. Nick Scheckel, Alton, Iowa; Mrs. W.W. Forretie and daughter and sons William and Edward, Mrs. Sadie Phelan and sons Raymond and Lester, Mrs. Mae Barry, of Sioux Falls, Mrs. John Schneider, Laura and Marcella Lanters, Remsen, Iowa; Mr. and Mrs. Gustave Flesh, Mr. Felix Freeman, Marcus, Iowa; and Mr. and Mrs. S.A. Clabough from LeMars, Iowa.
