Born to Hugh Murray Quin (1819-1900) & his second wife, Nancy H. Sumrall Quin (1838-1932), both of Mississippi.

Henry married Anna Virginia Marshall (1878-1919) in 1900 in Upshur County, TX. He was a lumber merchant. They left immediately after their marriage, stopping briefly in Baker, Arkansas, for the 1900 census. In 1910, they were in the West Texas town of Paducah.

Five children:
• Hugh Murray Quin (1901-1979)
• Marshall Quin (1905-1974)
• Jack Quin (1907-1981)
• Mildred Quin Evans (1909-2000; m. Gene Evans on 6/20/1929)
• Madge Quin Kimmel (1912-1983)

After the early deaths of Henry & Anna, the children were reared by her parents, then in their 70s, in Gilmer, TX.
