Robert Leo Cheek was born August 29, 1887, in Clark County. He moved to Delight with his family at the age of three years. His parents were Jessie R. and Lockie Carroll Cheek. Mr. Cheek operated several different business in Delight for many years. He was a member of the United Methodist Church.

In 1905 he was married to the late Laura Clark Cheek. Three daughters survive this marriage. He married the late Bonnie Cubit Cheek in 1940. They operated the Cheek Variety Store for several years.

Mr. Cheek died at the Idlehour Lodge at Murfreesboro, April 27, after a short illness.

Survived by daughters, Mrs. Louise Riddle of Mt. Pleasant, Tx, Mrs. Donnie Collins of Bossier City, La. and Mrs. Lois Towler of El Dorado; two brothers, A.A. Cheek and W.R. Cheek; one sister, Mrs. Ruby Reece, all of El Dorado.
