Henry Jr. worked at various times as a carpenter and rental property and farm owner along with his two younger brothers William and Frank, managing properties accumulated by his parents and Grandfather Werther. In 1905 he married Florence Imler and adopted her son Lawrence. Local records in Circleville indicate that Henry constructed several buildings around town and aided in the renovation of several city owned buildings.
Henry died of Tuberculosis at his home, 613 E. Mound Street, several years after his wife Florence passed away. He was buried alongside his wife in Circleville's Forest Cemetery.
