Former Centralian Dies in Columbia
Mrs. Susie Gehringer of Columbia, sister of Raymond Palmer of Centralia, died Monday at the Boone County Hospital. Mrs. Geheringer, 68, formerly lived in Centralia. Her husband preceded her in death four years ago.
Funeral services were held Wednesday in Columbia.
Besides her brother of Centralia, she is survived by a son, Kenneth Slaughter of Columbia; a sister, Mrs. Linnie Roberts, of Rocheport; and another brother, John Palmer of Washington, Ia., and two grandsons. She is also survived by her stepmother, Mrs. Dollie Tombs, a resident at the Greenwood Nursing Home.
