Will Marry H.R.P. Miller Today -- Beautiful Wedding

At 5 o'clock this afternoon Miss Annie Brinkerhoff, daughter of Mr. And Mrs. W.E. Brinkerhoff, and Mr. H.R.P. Miller, both of this city, will be united in marriage at the home of the bride on Clinton Street.
The wedding which is to be rather a quiet one has caused a good deal of gossip in the social world since it was announced for both of the contracting parties stand high, and the announcement of their wedding came as quite a surprise.
It is to be a violet wedding and the color scheme of purple and white will predominate the decorations entire. Mr. Miller being a prominent Elk and that being his club color. The large arch int he south parlor under which the bridal couple will stand when the ceremony is performed will be profusely decorated with violets, smilax and white roses, and from the center of the arch will be suspended a large marriage bell of artistic design in the same decorations. Under this bell the happy couple will be united for life's voyage.
Mr. J.T. Wallace will sing a solo "Without Thee" just preceding the ceremony, and Miss Lecto Hutchinson will play the wedding march. The ceremony will be performed by Rev. Alexander Coffin, of St. Phillips Church, Joplin. The attendants will be Miss Ida Brinkerhoff, sister of the bride, and Mr. E.H. Bootham of Canton, Ohio.

Immediately following the ceremony an elaborate course dinner will be served inthe dining room. Here not only will the color scheme of purple and white be carried into effect in the room decorations, but int he refreshments as well, the color and design of the cream and cakes being exquisite.
Miss Brinkerhoff is the daughter of W.E. Brinkerhoff, President of the First National Bank of this city and is a recognized society leader, her brunette beauty and charming manner making her a great favorite among her acquaintances.
Mr. H.R.P. Miller is a prominent and successful young business man well and widely know. He is district manager for the immense wholesale cigar house of Swisher Brothers of Canton, Ohio. And is a substantial and popular young man. He is prominent in Elks circles and has many friends in that order all over Missouri and in Ohio.
Mr. Bootham, who will be best man at the ceremony is head salesman for Mr. Miller in this district.
About 50 guests will be present at the wedding.
The bride and groom will not take a wedding tour just now, but will go to housekeeping at once on Clinton Street where they have furnished rooms at the home at the house of Fred Hodson. They will take a trip later in the season.
