Funeral services for William Henry Young, 86, who died Wednesday, January 1, in a Springfield hospital were held Saturday, January 4 at 2:00 p.m. in the Clever Christian Church, with Rev. Harold Mayes officiating. Burial was in Mt. Carmel Cemetery under direction of Harris Funeral Home of Clever. A native of Stone County, he spent most of his life in the Hurley and Clever communities, except for several years in Kansas. He was a member of the Church of Christ. Survivors include two sons, Harold Young of Exeter, Calif., and Vern D. Young of Springfield; two daughters, Mrs. Ed Raum and Mrs. Irene Wilson, both of Springfield; three grandchildren and two great grandchildren; two brothers, Charley Young of Hurley and Lawrence Young of Happy Camp, Calif., three sisters, Mrs. Deamie Estes of Clever with whom he resided the past 13 years, Mrs. Mary Kemp of Hurley and Mrs. Annie Welch of Golden City.
