William was the son of Nicholas Dolly Linger and Matilda Margaret Bradshaw Linger. He married Anna Elizabeth Sexton June 9, 1880 in Upshur County, West Virginia. They were the parents of Lula Blanche, Kirk Craig, Fred Augustus, Alice Gertrude, Matilda Virginia, Warren Sexton and Hugh William Linger. I had originally entered date of 8/15/1914 for death date of William, however I have changed it to agree with the date entered on the register of death, page 110.
