Mr. Timothy Bennett, who resided on the State Road about one mile north of Helt's Prairie, died on last Sunday morning, aged over 70 years. He was a blacksmith by trade, and had been in poor health for more than a year. He was a very highly respected citizen, and esteemed by all his neighbors. He leaves a wife and 5 grown children. His funeral occurred at Salem Church at 3 o'clock on last Monday afternoon, after which his remains were interred in the Helt's Prairie Cemetery.
