ASSUMPTION -Hazel B. Burton, 95, of Assumption died 9:45 p.m. Sunday (Jan. 17, 1993) in Pana Community Hospital.

Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in Seitz Funeral Home, Assumption, with visitation 9:30 a.m. until services. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery, Assumption. Memorials: Assumption Christian Church or American Heart Association.

Mrs. Burton was born Dec. 9, 1897 in Mount Carmel, the daughter of James E. and Ova McManaman Brines. She was a member of Assumption Christian Church and Loyal Daughters Class of the church. She married Glenn Burton on Aug. 23, 1919
in Vincennes, Ind. He preceded her in death March 18, 1961.

Surviving are her daughters, Mrs. Alvin (Winifred) Christenberry of Assumption; Mrs. James (Dorothy) Marinelli and Betty Carder, both of Springfield; Mrs. Don (Bertie) Gingrey of Taylorville; brother, James C. Brines of Mount Carmel; five grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and three sisters.
