To the Editor:
I read the Lincoln County Post Scrapbook Page Highland of August 17, 1972 which interested me very much for it was about Charles and Henry Reed who were my great great great grandfathers, but the article didn't mention three daughters of Henry Reed. One was my grandmother, Tabitha Reed Wall, one married a Baugh, of the first family, and Sarah Reed Sims Austin of the second family. Sarah Reed Sims Austin was a daughter of Henry Reed's second family who lived in Kings Mountain for several years. Her last years were spent on a farm near Kings Mountain. She had a son Oscar Sims and a daughter who married Jack Wall. I remember my great Aunt Jane Reed Mason who lived at Jumbo not far from the Bethel Christian Church with her son Huff Mason and family and great Aunt Sarah Reed Austin and great uncle Bill Reed.
My brother Raymond Wall, sister Ella Wall Estes, and I, Clara Wall Chambers used to visit with Aunt Sarah at her home in Kings Mountain and Uncle Bill Reed and family at his home at Highland.
