Strother Braxton Ellis, age 77, of Mount Olivet, Kentucky, died Thursday, August 16, 2007, at Harrison Memorial Hospital, in Cynthiana, Kentucky. Born in Robertson County, Kentucky, on April 25, 1930, to the late Charles A. and Martha King Ellis, he was a bulldozer operator and farmer. Mr. Ellis was a member and former deacon of Kentontown Christian Church and was a former Robertson County Farm Bureau director.

He is survived by: two sons and daughters-in-law, Keith and Jeanne Ellis, of Robertson County, and Tom and Patti Ellis, of Harrison County; a daughter and son-in-law, Amy and Jeffrey Cox, of Robertson County; a brother and sister-in-law, Ernest and Shirley Ellis, of Robertson County; a sister, Louisa Edwards, of Robertson County; three grandchildren, Laura Ellis, Nikki Ellis and Clay Cox; and a great-grandson, Braxton P. Ellis.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Monday at Kentontown Christian Church by Bro. Josh Conley. Visitation will be from 5:00 until 9:00 p.m. Sunday at the church. Burial will be in Ellis Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Kentontown Christian Church Building Fund, 111 Vanhook Road, Mount Olivet, Kentucky 41064. Arrangements are under the direction of Robertson County Funeral Home.
