A native of Patrick County, she was the daughter of the late William Henry and Elizabeth Padgett Beasley. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ellis James Beasley, in 1956; a son, H.C. Beasley, in December; and a sister, Vergie Beasley.
Surviving are one daughter, Ruth L. Huff of Mount Airy, N.C.; two daughters-in-law and five grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Friday at Creasey's Chapel United Methodist Church, where she was a member. The Rev. Tommy Shepherd officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery. Pallbearers were Dewey Moss, Jim Love, Ron Spivey, Bill Brinkley, Brent Wall and Jimmy Marshall.
