Mrs. Mary A. Sumner Bushnell, widow of Loren Bushnell, died about 1 this morning at the home of Emanuel Pickert in Lewis street. She had been ill a long time with heart trouble. The funeral will be held from the house Friday morning at 9:45, Rev. J. Foster Wilcox officiating. Burial will be made at Depauville.
Mrs. Bushnell was born at Depauville May 29 1834, the daughter of Aaron Sumner, M.D., for 30 years a practicing physician at that village. In her earlier life she spent some 13 years teaching school and in 1881 married Loren Bushnell, father of the late Albert and Jerome Bushnell of this city. Mrs. Bushnell resided at Adams, Lafargeville and this city. For the past 20 years she had been a mother of the Baptist church. She was the last of a family of six."
