Larry Alan West, age 65, of Rochelle, passed away Monday, August 1, 2011 in Temple, Texas. He was born on October 5, 1945 in Sherman, Texas to James R. West and Ruth (Harmon) West. He was a Baptist and served in the U.S. Army and the U.S. Coast Guard. He was a tractor mechanic in the Brady area most of his life and had worked for David Eckhert for several years.

Funeral Services for Larry Alan West will be held at 3:00pm Sunday, August 7, 2011 at Leatherwood Memorial Chapels in Brady with Reverend Gaylon Morris officiating. Interment with military honors will follow at the Rochelle Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the services Sunday afternoon from 2 to 3 at the funeral home.

Larry is survived by his sons, Dan West of Brady and Dave West of Brady, granddaughters Meadow West and Macie West and brother Tex West of Houston. He was preceded in death by his parents. The family suggests memorial contributions may be made to Hope From The Heart.
