The bodies of a Tooele County couple were found Saturday in a remote area near the Nevada border, ending a two-day search.
A search team located Stephan Mueller, 31, and Pensri Perkins, 21, about 3:30 p.m. on the north end of the Silver Island Mountains, about 30 miles northeast of Wendover. An investigation is ongoing, but authorities don't suspect foul play.
"It looks like the couple was in the area doing some sightseeing (Thursday) when their vehicle got stuck in the mud." Box Elder County sheriff's spokesman Lynn Yeates said. "They apparently left the vehicle, and it looks like they later died of exposure."
