Hazel Adell Dunn was born in Blair, Nebraska, to Cyrus A Dunn and Ida Alice McCoy on 24 June 1894. Her mother divorced and remarried with Lineas Justice. Hazel married first Guy Wallace in Washington County, Nebraska, on 5 February 1913. The couple had two sons, Wesley and Pierce Wallace, before divorcing in 1935. On 15 November 1939 she married Ray T Lewis with whom she lived happily until her death on 25 April 1971 in Corydon, Iowa. She was buried in the Corydon Cemetery on 28 April 1971.
