William Bender, age 58 of 2613 Thornton Rd, Ferndale, passed away Thurs July 21. He had been a resident of Whatcom County for 52 years and was a member of the OCAW Union and the American Rhododendron Society. He is survived by his wife, Cecelia; 2 sons Carl and wife, Cindy of Bellingham; Bapt. James Bender and wife Michelle of Alamorgordo, New Mex; a daughter Carlene Pate and husband Jerry of Oak Harbor; 2 granddaughters, Leigha and Maia Bender, New Mex; several other relatives. Funeral services will be held Tues July 26 1:30 pm at Moles Funeral Chapel, the Rev. Myron Hilty officiating. Interment will follow at Enterprise Cemetery.
