Frances M. Dumelle

Frances Myrell Dumelle
February 3, 1920 – April 29, 2010
Resident of Walnut Creek, CA

Beloved widow of Martin J. Dumelle. Leaves behind daughter Dianna Dumelle of Concord, CA, also sisters Pauline Alexander, Lois Hazel and Janice Smith and brother Fred Wilder and families. We will all miss her so.
Frances was known by all as a sweet, kind, compassionate, genuine woman, and was devoted to her family. Born near Austin, Texas, she was valedictorian of her high school class and graduated Magna Cum Laude at the age of 19 with a BBS from Sam Houston State Teacher's College in Texas. She was a loving daughter of Charles and Nola Wilder; one of 8 strong children. She married Martin Dumelle in 1947 having met at a USO dance, and had celebrated 60 years of a loving marriage together.
She worked most of her adult life, latest at Lockheed Martin, Burbank as an executive secretary so her daughter could attend college and have an easier life. She retired at 60 with Martin so they could enjoy their later years, which they did, in Oceanside CA. They were a part of the First Christian Church of Oceanside family and did much volunteer work.
There will be a private closed-casket interment with minimum ceremony on Thursday, May 6 at 2:30 at Eternal Hills Cemetery & Mortuary, 1999 El Camino Real, Oceanside. Friends may attend to say their goodbyes. (Call to confirm time.) However, there will be a Memorial Service at First Christian Church of Oceanside 204 South Freeman Street Oceanside, CA 92054 on Sunday May 30, 2010 at 2:00 PM.
Donations may be made to the First Christian Church of Oceanside P.O Box 360 Oceanside, CA 92054.
Arrangements under the direction of Guerrero Mortuary Chapel, San Leandro, CA
