Mary Mollie ( Bennett ) Hester and her twin sister Martha Mattie ( Bennett ) were both born on February 15 , 1863. Mary lost her husband Warren Jefferson Hester on May 16, 1887 from Typhoid Fever. Martha Mattie Bennett ( widowed ) is living in her brother in law , Joseph Lanier, and sister Nancy Bennett Lanier household , in the 1900 United States Census, along with with her daughter Sallie age 6. In the 1910 United States Census , Martha Mattie is now living in her nephew Warren J. Hester , age 22 , household with his widowed mother Mary Mollie Hester, and his brother Lem Q. Hester, and their father John T. Bennett , age 79. In the United States Census 1920, the two widowed sisters are living in the same household, along with Mary Hester's son Lem , age 36. There are no records found that would indicate either of the sisters ever remarried.

There is some conflict here with the sisters respective burial headstones. On Martha Mattie 's Db headstone , it includes the son ( Lem Hester )of her sister Mary Mollie. On Mary Mollie Db headstone , she is with her father John T Bennett. Taken together….it would seem that they should be reversed….mother with her son….daughter with father. The only plausible answer …perhaps it occurred in order of death and economy of placements at a later date by Family members
