Latitia married John Bennett Ashford(Grimes County Marriage Record Ashford, John B--White, Latitia A 14 Sept 1850). She married John M Mitchell,(marriage license listed in June 5, 1865 as J M Mitchell to L A Ashford) she took part of her inheritance and went with him to the Tuxpan colony in Mexico and purchased a sugar cane plantation. He died there. She came back to Texas with Fannie J Ashford and George S Ashford and they are listed in the 1870 Grimes County Census as L A Mitchell(widow), Fannie Ashford, and George Ashford. She then married Frances Asbury McDaniel (08 May 1871 Grimes County Marriage Records as L A Mitchell to F A McDaniel). They had one child that lived. He name was George White McDaniel. Fannie Ashford raised him after Latitia and Francis died. He was baptised in, I believe, the Baptitst Church in Navasota. He became a Baptist minister, quite important in Virginia. Latitia is buried as Latitia McDaniel next to F A McDaniel at Oakland Cemetery. Their 2 daughters are buried behind them. Delma and Francis McDaniel. Fannie J Ashford married William Michael Anderson. They are buried in the same plot. Next to that plot is Dave White and Lucy White, with Baylor and Rucker. Her daughter my greatgrandmother was Susan Ladonia Ashford.
