This is believed to be misreading or misprint, for no Yale family is known at Glastonbury at that date, no available Clarissa Yale is found in Yale Genealogy (1908) and the surname in the marriage record has been read Hale. The Root book states that George Root d. 22 Oct 1837 ae. 22 an obvious misprint for 32."
Jacobus shows page 106 4th child of Betsey Hale and Oliver Hale as "Clarissa S. b. 5 Oct 1806; m. (1) at Glastonbury, 18 Apr 1830, George Root, of Berlin, b. 15 Aug 1805, d. 22 Oct 1837; m. (2) at Glastonbury, 15 Dec [1837] Joseph Clark, of Newbury, Vt."
