Mrs. Neal, 72, died March 16, 2007, at University of Mississippi Medical Center. She was born in Copiah County on Jan. 7, 1935, to Henry Lee Thedford and Fannie Beatrice Henley Thedford.
She was a homemaker. She was a member of Strong Hope Baptist Church.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husbands, Charles Curtis Carpenter and John Lee Neal; her daughter, Sharon Denise Neal; and her brothers, Walter Lee Thedford and James Walter Thedford.
Survivors are her sons, Russell Carpenter, of Wesson, and Greg Carpenter, of Brookhaven; her daughter, Patricia Lynn Allen, of Braxton; and her seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
