Born in Leadville, Colorado, he moved in 1913 to Boise, Idaho, where he lived for about 20 years before moving to Baker, Oregon and then Salem, where he spent the last 25 years. He was a retired cannery worker and member of the John Knox Presbyterian Church in Keizer.
Surviving are widow Mary; daughters Mrs. Harold Radabaugh, Aumsville, Mrs. Altarose Gard, Portland; three grandchildren; four great grandchildren.
