Harslette (sic) Ann Graham, daughter of Silas and Lucinda Graham, was born Jan. 28, 1861: departed this life April 18, 1922, age 61 years, 2 months and 12 days. She was married to Elias Hiland Jan. 22, 1881. Seven children were born to this union, two of whom have preceded her John T. Hiland Aug. 3, 1888, and an infant son May 3, 1889. She leaves her husband and five children to mourn their loss. Surviving children are Mrs. Maude Holman of Akron, Ohio, Mrs. Elizabeth Pierson of Lexington, Ind., Mrs. Minnie Carter of Lebanon, Miss Huldah and Oscar Hiland, who are at
home. Ten grandchildren also survive, besides a sister, Mrs. B. T. Barber of Wisconsin, and three brothers, James
Graham of Indianapolis, John B. Graham of Danville, and Thomas Graham of Lizton.
She united with the Christian church 26 years ago. She was a loving, Christian mother, and in her last hours of

suffering often speaking of her Savior and Lord. To her friends she was a friend indeed but she is gone, her voice
is still and the family circle is broken. If she could speak she would whisper, “weep not for me, sorrows and pains are over; trust and obey Jesus; ever believe in Him and all is well and we will meet again.”
