Ralph is the son of John Cheney and Keziah Kendall. He married twice:

As of March 2023: A recent comprehensive analysis/plotting of Oak Cemetery by the Georgetown Historical Society affirms that neither Ralph Cheney [Chaney], nor his wives Lydia Grover and Anna Oliver, nor his infant son John are not buried there. All died before the cemetery was established. They may indeed be buried in Georgetown but no burial records have yet been found. FMI:
