I am without most of the hard copy I ever had and am old now, but Sarah's parents Robert and Ann were killed and Sarah was reared by her aunt and uncle. Later Sarah's sister was named in documents , this was Margaret Peggy Taliaferro Gaines the wife of Hiram Gaines. Certainly Sarah was in the will of her aunt and uncle and some of the property was actually property from Robert that had been held for her I believe - but removed her birth date - We also have the y-dna from two male sons descendants of David Lewis sons and they are not related to the males of Warner Hall Lewises, they are a totally different family. I have been to the location of what is believed Page's Warehouse out from the Pamunkey River and the spot where i took the David lewis findagrave photo is believed to be the level where David would have had his house. It is near the club house of the Birdwood Golf and behind that back house is an old stream spring that they believe goes back to David and this would have been his house location - from there to Faulkner house to John Lewis house that was bought by Chamberlain form an outline of the original property - the 1st patent west of the Rivanna River

Some gave Sarah the middle name of Isabelle. Others object. In the American south even G-d has a middle name -

She is right now.

Sarah Lewis (74303287)

Suggested edit: This Sarah who married John Terrell Lewis is NOT the Sarah born 7 June 1727 as listed on this memorial. The Sarah born on that date is the daughter of Richard Taliaferro and Rose Berryman. Early genealogies thought it was the Sarah born 7 June 1727 who married John Terrell Lewis, which is incorrect.

See the article:
Margaret R. Amundson, "Rebutting Direct Evidence with Indirect Evidence: The Identity of Sarah (Taliaferro) Lewis of Virginia," *National Genealogical Society Quarterly 87 (September 1999), pp. 217-240.
which straightens this out and shows that the Sarah who married John Terrell Lewis was the daughter of Robert Taliaferro and Ann Pittman, as listed on the memorial. No exact birth date is known for this Sarah, but as she married John Terrell Lewis on 3 March 1750, I would estimate she was born about 1730, so please change her birth from 7 June 1727, as she is not *that* Sarah.
