Mary Margaret Loftin Allen
Mary Margaret Loftin Allen, 89, of Holly Springs, died Sept. 14, 2005 at Christopher's Personal Care. She was the widow of Benjamin K. Allen Jr. She was a captain in the W.A.C.S in World War II. She was the military attache to the governors of Florida and Mississippi, and owner of Memphis Bandage, and of Forklift Tires of Memphis.

Services were held at 11 a.m. on Sept. 17 at Mt. Pleasant Methodist Church. Burial was in the church cemetery. Rev. Kevin Yarbrough officiated. Holly Springs Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

She leaves a son, Larry Loftin Allen of Memphis; a daughter, Patricia Allen Boggan of Memphis; three brothers, Ralph Loftin, Alfred Loftin, Luke Loftin, all of Mt. Pleasant; three sisters, Doris Howell of Mt. Pleasant, Helen Read Lucado of Atoka, Tenn., Anne Taylor of Mt. Pleasant; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
