BIRD, B. LEONARD, 74, of 700 N.E. 29th Terrace, June 29th. He came to Miami in 1949 from Palm Beach, Florida and was a retired President of Shamrock Corp. of Miami and had many business interests throughout the country. He was a veteran of World War I. Survived by wife Ruth F. of Miami; daughters Mrs. Richard W. Lent of New Paltz, New York, Mrs. Paul Dudley, Jr., of New Orleans, Louisiana, and Mrs. H. Gaebl Cockayne of Coral Gables; sister Mrs. Adelia B. McGowan of Connecticut; and 6 grandchildren. Services 11 a.m. Tuesday at Van Orsdel Northside Chapel, 3333 NE 2nd Avenue."
According to funeral home records, he was cremated and his ashes were scattered on Biscayne Bay in Florida.
