Deceased Name: EDMOND E. LAPIERRE, 79

WEBSTER - Edmond E. Lapierre, 79, of 78 North Main St. was stricken ill and died yesterday while playing golf at Nichols Golf Course in Dudley.
He leaves his wife of 60 years, Senora A. (Plasse) Lapierre; two sons; three brothers; five grandchildren; nephews and nieces. He was born in Webster, son of Ernest and Louise (Landry) Lapierre, and lived here all his life. He attended Bartlett High School. He was an Army veteran of World War II.
Mr. Lapierre was the overseer of the card room at Manexit Spinning Co. for more than 40 years, retiring in 1981. He was a communicant of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, and a life member of its League of the Sacred Heart. He volunteered his services to clean the church for many years. He was also a collector and festival worker there. He was a member of the Nichols Golf Club.
A memorial Mass will be held at a later date in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 16 East Main St. Private burial will be in the parish cemetery. There are no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to the Sacred Heart Organ Fund, 16 East Main St.; or to St. Anne's Elementary School, 12 Day St., both Webster, 01570. Sitkowski & Malboeuf Funeral Home, 340 School St., is directing arrangements.
