John Anthony "Tony" Wolf Sr., 67, of Blue Springs, Mo., passed away Sunday, July 31, 2011. Visitation held from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 3, at the McGilley & Sheil Chapel. Funeral service 10 a.m. Thursday, at the chapel with burial to follow in Calvary Cemetery. Tony was born in Kansas City, Mo., on June 5, 1944, to Joseph and Frances Wolf. He graduated from Raytown High School in 1964. Tony was an Eagle Scout in Troop #143 and a Warrior of the Tribe of Mic-O-Say. He was a Sergeant for the Jackson County Sheriff's Patrol and was employed for over 40 years at Washer Equipment Inc. in Springfield and Kansas City. Tony enjoyed gardening and loved to tell a good joke. He was a loving and caring person who was always there to help family and friends. Tony was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and a son, John "David" Webb. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Edna; three sons, John Wolf Jr. of Lee's Summit, Mo., Mark and Lori Webb of Lexington, Mo., and Howard and Wendy Wolf of Polo, Mo.; three daughters, Christine and Aaron Armstrong of Independence, Mo., Sharon and Brett Lauderdale of Tonganoxie, Kan., and Kim and Dan Gorman of Independence; a brother, James and Ann Wolf of Mission, Kan.; 15 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Tony's name can be made to the Heart of America Boy Scouts, 10210 Holmes Rd., KCMO 64131. Condolences can be left at www.mcgilleysheil.com.
