Charles C. Henry Schlueter was born on 12 May 1857 in Lamspringe (Kr. Alfeld), Hannover, Preußen to Johann Heinrich Christoph Schlüter and Johanne Caroline Wilhelmina Richter, was baptized on 21 May 1857 in the Evangelische Kirche Lamspringe (Kr. Alfeld), Germany and died on 10 Mar 1936 in Pilot Knob, Iron County, Missouri.

Along with his parents and siblings, he arrived at the Port of New York on 23 October 1863 from Lamspringe, Germany. He married Friedericke Wilhelmine Mathilde Wolff on 08 Feb 1879 in Pilot Knob, Iron County, Missouri, she being the daughter of Martin Friedrich Wolff and Maria Happke.
