Lorraine Alice Davis, age 83, Council Bluffs, Iowa, passed away July 29, 2011, at her home.
Lorraine was born September 5, 1927, in Charter Oak, Iowa, to Guy H. and Mildred J. (Buckley) Cronin and attended Thomas Jefferson High School in Council Bluffs. She was united in marriage to Edward Lee Davis in 1947. Lorraine worked as an Insurance Administrator for Mercy Hospital for over 20 years, and is a charter member of Queen of Apostles Parish.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Sharon Davis; husband, Edward Lee Davis on July 1, 1987; grandson, Timothy Miller; son-in-law, Roy Pihlgren; and brother, Thomas H. Cronin.
Survivors include daughter, Sandra Pihlgren, of Omaha, Neb.; sons, Ed L. Davis, Jr., of Council Bluffs, Jim Davis and wife, Rhonda, of Sherwood, Ark., Bill Davis and wife, Deanna, of Omaha; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; brother, Donald Cronin and wife, Phyllis, of Long Beach, Calif.
Rosary recitation Tuesday, 6 p.m., followed by visitation until 8 p.m., at Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Bayliss Park Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday, 10 a.m., Queen of Apostles Church. Father Dan Kirby, Celebrant. Interment Cedar Lawn Cemetery with a luncheon to follow back at Queen of Apostles.
