Lola Lucas Phillips Bagley, 86 – of Dunn, NC went home to be with her Heavenly Father on Tuesday, July 26, 2011. She was born on May 29, 1925 to W.J. and Clyde P. Lucas. She was retired from Civil Service at Fort Bragg, NC and worked many years after retirement at Golden Years Nursing Home. She was a member of Antioch Baptist Church in Falcon, NC where she was a Sunday school teacher, treasurer, and avid choir member. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to many.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands - John D. Phillips and Calvin C. Bagley; siblings – Eddie, Myrtle, Woodrow, Eugene, Lucille, Mamie, Harry, Tommy, Fred and James, step-daughter – Pauletta Hobson. She was the last surviving member of her family.
She is survived by daughters – Judy Altman and husband Tommy, and Geraldine Martin; a son – Johnny Phillips and wife Darlene; a stepson – Larry Bagley Sr.; grandchildren – Herman Loving and wife Bernie, Robin York, Tony Loving, Lisa Delorso, Phillip Loving, Martina Wagner and husband Harold, Johnna Fann and husband Gary, Cindy Jackson and husband Kent, Chris Phillips, J.P. Phillips, Darryl Martin and wife Darlene, Amy Davis, and Larry Bagley, Jr. She also leaves behind 25 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren.
Family will receive friends tonight (Thursday) at Cromartie Miller & Lee Funeral home from 6-8pm. Funeral services will be on Friday, July29 at 11:00am at Antioch Baptist Church in Falcon. The services will be led by Reverend Sammy McLamb and Reverend Randy Beasley. Burial will immediately follow at Spring Branch Cemetary
