Ella G. Giroux, 89, Salina, died Wednesday Feb. 26, 2003. Mrs. Giroux as born Ella G. Comeau on March 26, 1913, at Clyde. She was a retired bookkeeper.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alphonse H., in 1968; a son. Franklin E., in 1999; and a great-grandson, Cayden Eck, in 1993.
Survivors include a son, Ivan L. and his wife, Agnes, of Loveland, Colo.; a daughter, Mary Tannahill and her husband, Bart, of Salina; a daughter-in law, Phyllis Giroux of Omaha, Neb.; a brother, Emery Comeau of Concordia; six sisters, Edmere Steffen of Clay Center, Leona Sterrett of Wichita, Stella
Holt of Abilene, Mary Rose Steirett of Cape Girardeau, Mo., Orena Foster of California and Zella Gosselin of Concordia; 13 grandchildren; and 30 great-grandchildren.
The memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Sacred Heart Cathedral, Salina. Inurement will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in St. Concordia Cemetery Concordia.
A vigil will be at 7 p.m. Friday at Ryan Mortuary, Salina. Cremation will follow the vigil.
Memorials may be made to Focus on the Future or Sacred Heart Cathedral, both of Salina.
Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday at the mortuary.
