SERVICES HELD FOR ESTHER KOCH
Services were held Wednesday, Jan. 16 for former Westcliffe resident Esther Koch, late of Canon City. Mrs. Koch died Jan. 11, 1985 in Pueblo. She was 84 years old. She was born to Charles and Montana (Fellows) Koch on April 5, 1901 in Querida. She was a life-time resident of Colorado and moved from the Wet Mountain Valley to Canon City in 1962. She was a member of Christ Episcopal Church and was a homemaker. She married Helmuth G. Koch June 24, 1920 in Salida. He preceded her in death in 1982. She is survived by their children, John Koch and Chester Koch of Canon City; Willa Buzzi and Ralph Koch of Westcliffe; Margaret Heller and Edward Koch of Olathe, Colo., Lorraine Paxton and Russell Koch of Pueblo. She is also survived by 25 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Koch was preceded in death by a son and daughter, eight brothers and one sister. Services were held at the Holt-Dixon Chapel of the Garden with the Father Robert Bryan of Christ Episcopal Church officiating. Interment was at the Lakeside Cemetery at Canon City.
