Miss Achter died Monday at St. Francis Hospital, Breckenridge.
Miss Achter was born April 27, 1902, at Great Bend, ND, the daughter of Phillip and Christina (Hermes) Achter. The family moved to Wahpeton when Miss Achter was five and she attended St. John's school and the North Dakota State School of Science here.
She worked as a bookkeeper at the Wahpeton Bottling Works and later was a bookkeeper at the Globe-Gazette Printing Co. here for 44 years. She retired in 1967.
Survivors include three sisters, Ella, Wahpeton, Mrs. Virgil Sturdevant, Wahpeton, and Mrs. Lloyd (Leone) Rubish, Fairmount, ND; and three brothers, Joseph, Helena, MT, Clarence, Wahpeton, and Ray, Wahpeton.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, John. [Vertin's - Wahpeton]
