"DEATH OF W. L. NORRIS"

It is, perhaps, not generally known that there has been resident in Jerome for several years a couple who are parents of sixteen children, all living, and that in spite of the numbers, with their parents, a very happy family. The couple is, or was, Mr. and Mrs. William L. Norris, and the family, their ten daughters and six sons, all living and a number of them adults and several of them married and with families.

William L. Norris, the father, aged 64 years, died at his home on January 2nd, 1933. Mr. Norris had been in poor health for three years and had been bedfast for four months immediately preceeding his death. He was born at Crossville, Cumberland county, Tennessee. In 1913, with his family, he removed to Buhl, Idaho, and was engaged in farming and real estate business at that place until four years ago, when he removed to Jerome, his health failing soon afterwards.

Deceased was for many years affiliated with the Christian church, but at Jerome became affiliated with the Nazarene church.

The members of the family surviving him are as follows:

His widow, Mrs. Eliza Frazier Norris, and his children, Mrs. Cora Thompson, Klamath Falls, Oregon; Mrs. Ethel Lee, Cleveland, Ohio; Mrs. Belle Shown and Mrs. Violet Sheridan, Quinalt Lake, Washington; Mrs. E. B. McEachren and Mrs. Margaret Johnson, Aberdeen, Washington; and Misses Beulah, Ruth, Myrtle and Mabel Norris, of Jerome, daughters. Harry Norris, of Seattle, Washington; Lincoln, Frank, Walter, Webster and Robert Norris, of Jerome, sons. There are also fifteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Two brothers, Thomas Norris, of Buhl, Idaho, and Lincoln Norris, of Cottonwood, California.

As the News is published, funeral arrangements are services at the Nazarene church, to be conducted by Rev. A. R. Herring, pastor, with the Interment at Jerome cemetery. The day and hour awaiting arrival of several of the married children in the West, who are enroute to Jerome.
