Darlene M. Borkowski, 42, of South Bend, passed away on Friday, July 29, 2011, at her lake home in Plymouth, IN, surrounded by her loving family at her bedside.
Darlene was born on August 21, 1968, in South Bend, to Linden Finney Sr., and Rose Borkowski. Her Father preceded Darlene in Death.
Her wife Lisa Ploughe, with whom she shared eighteen years of commitment together, survives Darlene. Also surviving are her mother, Rose Borkowski, three sisters, Patricia (James) Groves of South Bend,In, Sandra Coffee of Savannah, TX, Sharon Levenhagen of Lafayette, In; and four Brothers, Merl Lechlitner 111 of South Bend, In, Linden (Deanna)Finney Jr, Of Imboded, Ak, Larry ( Kathy) Finney of Cave City, AK. and Mike (Cathy) Finney of Hernando, MS; along with many nieces, nephews, Aunts and Uncles.
Darlene was a member of the Moose Lodge #1355 of Plymouth, IN. She enjoyed fishing,camping shooting darts, and bowling, and was an avid NASCAR fan. Darlene was a truck driver for PJAX until she was diagnosed with cancer.
The family is honoring Darlene's wishing for cremation. Family and friends will be recieved on Monday, August 1, 2011 from 2-4 and 6-8 at Bubb Funeral Home, 3910 N. Main St. Mishawaka, IN.
