James Click, 66, of Newport, died suddenly on Monday afternoon after suffering a heart attack at his home. He had been a farmer in the Bat Harbor section for years and was a member of the Bat Harbor Log Church.

Survivors include: the wife, Gracie Ball Click, daughters, Mrs Joan Messer; sons, J.C., G.H. and Drew, all of Newport. Arthur and Charlie of Bridgeton, New Jersey, and Joel of Greeneville, Tennessee. Thirteen grandchildren and one great grandchild.

The body was removed to the home on Tuesday morning.

Funeral services will be conducted from the Bat Harbor Log Church at 2 PM on Thursday with the Revs Melvin Webb and James Suggs officating. Nephews will serve as pall bearers. Interment in family cemetery. Brown's in charge.
