The Fort Worth resident since 1948 was born at Itasca. he served on the official board at Matthews Memorial Church, was a Mason and a member of the Numismatic Club.

Herbert Cummins was a veteran of the US Navy during World War I.

Survived by his wife; two daughters - Mrs. Ben E. Campbell and Riley L. Aldrich, Jr; four brothers - Robert, Roy, Billy and Frank Cummins; three sisters - Mrs. L.A. Paschall, Cleo Brown and Lula Hart; four grandchildren.
