Death Takes Mr. Durham
George W. Durham, 62, 2815 Cambron Street, died yesterday afternoon.
Funeral arrangements will be announced by Collier-Butler Funeral Home.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Novella Durham; two daughters, Mrs. Hazel Duke and Mrs. Virginia Taylor, both of Miami, Fla; three sons, A. L., Gadsden, Thomas, Miami, Fla. And Billy George, Birmingham; two sisters, Mrs. Gennie Elsberry, Fort Worth, Tex., and Mrs. Ida Butler, Dallas, G., 15 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
An electrician at Republic Steel Corporation, he was a member of the Edgewood Baptist Church. A native of Dallas, Ga., he had lived in Gadsden for 20 years.

Funeral services for George W. Durham, 62, 2915 Cambron Street, will be held tomorrow at 10:30 a.m., at the Edgewood Baptist Church with the Rev. M. C. Johnson and the Rev. Bert Cornelius officiating.
Graveside services will be held at Mt. Olive Cemetery, Dallas, Ga., at 3:30 p.m. (EST) with L. D. Williams, Robert Freeman, Buddy Furgerson, Robert Smith, Woody Riddlespur, Rev. A. L. Smith, Lewis Wright and Clarence Blackmon as active pallbearers.
The body will remain at the residence of his son, A. L. Durham, 2801 Cambron Street until the hour of service. Collier-Butler Funeral Home will direct.
Mr. Durham, an electrician at Republic Steel Corporation for 21 years, died Saturday at 6:30 p.m. at a local hospital following a long illness.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Novella Durham; two daughters, Mrs. Hazel Duke and Mrs. Virginia Taylor, both of Miami, Fla.; three sons, A. L. Durham, Gadsden; Thomas Greet Durham, Miami, Fla., and Billy George Durham, Birmingham; two sisters, Mrs. Jennie Elsberry, Fort Worth, Texas, and Mrs. Ida Butler, Dallas, Ga., and 15 grandchildren.
